Reading Material

A useful tip. When studying at The British Institute you can also take out a library card that allows you full access to the books in the Harold Acton Library. Do it.

Whatever course you're studying they have books for you. History of Art takes up an entire room of its own! There are also Italian grammar and language books to help with learning the language, and even Italian literature (both originals and translations) for when you're feeling a little more confident. Downstairs also houses a healthy collection of DVDs for rainy days and a large study area complete with working desks and plug sockets for charging laptops and phones.

Most importantly if you head downstairs next to the English literature section you'll find there's even a section of second-hand books available to buy! Here are a few I picked up last week. Can you tell I've got Italian on the brain?
