After a day of travel I made it! Florence, Firenze. I managed to drag my suitcase like Claudia Cardinale in La Ragazza con la Valigia (pictured above), all the way to my apartment in Oltrarno, just south of the river Arno. I may not have a 'Room with a View' like E. M Forster's Lucy Honeychurch but I'm pretty content with my view of green shuttered windows, and the red tiled rooftops that can be seen from the kitchen window.
